مدت*هاست که دستیابی به برق بی‏سیم ذهن دانشمندان بسیاری را به خود مشغول کرده است. موضوعی که شرکت*ها و کمپانی*های زیادی را وادار به تولید وسایلی کرده است تا این امر را تحقق بخشند.

ایده‏ی تولید برق بی*سیم زمانی شکل گرفت که شرکت نوکیا سعی بر ایجاد دکل*هایی داشت که بتواند باتری گوشی*های نوکیا را به صورت بی‏سیم شارژ کند، اما این ایده تنها در حد یک رویا باقی ماند و جرقه ای شد برای دنبال کردن راهی که دنیا را دگرگون سازد. پس از آن، شرکت*ها و کمپانی*های زیادی سعی بر عملی کردن این پروژه کردند که هر یک به نتایج جالب و قابل توجهی دست یافتند.
از این میان می توان صفحه‏ی هوشمندی را نام برد که قادر به شارژ کردن هر وسیله‏ی الکترونیکی در فاصله ۳اینچی خود می‏باشد. کافیست موبایل ، لپ*تاپ یا هر وسیله*‏ی دیگر خود را که نیاز به شارژ شدن دارد بر روی این صفحه*ی هوشمند قرار دهید تا شروع به شارژ شدن کند. اساس کار این صفحه تولید زمینه ای الکترو مغناطیسی است که باعث شارژ شدن هر نوع باتری می شود.

Nokia to Convert Electromagnetic Waves to Electricity for longer Mobile Usage

Nokia is planning to use electromagnetic waves to generate electricity that can be used to power up the mobile device for longer talk time without the need of recharging.
In its famous Research Centre in UK they have been working on a prototype for some time now. This prototype is able to convert the ambient electromagnetic radiation from phone antenna or other source to electricity. It is also expected to detect and convert waves from other radiation sources like cordless phones and wifi devices in its surrounding.
Currently the output is about 3 to 5 miliwatts which is only a tenth of required 50 miliwatts target required to sustain the device in normal operation. Noka predicts that it would be able to achieve that target within the next 3 to 4 years

Flat, Flexible, Wireless Power Source Can Go Anywhere

Based on a sheet of plastic, the device can be put on desks, floors, walls, and almost any other location, delivering power to electronics placed on or near it without the use of cables or connectors.

The power sheet is described in the April 29, 2007, online edition of Nature Materials.

A small Christmas tree lights up when placed on the power sheet. The electrical components are deposited onto the plastic via state-of-the-art inkjet printing technology using “electronic ink.” The finished product is about one millimeter thick and 21 centimeters square, although power sheets large enough to cover entire walls or floors could potentially be created.
The sheet can deliver up to about 40 watts, enough to power light bulbs and small electronics (cell phones, clocks, etc.) equipped to accept wireless power. The sheet has an impressive 81 percent efficiency, meaning 81 percent of the emitted power is received by devices.
The sheet is a significant step forward for the field of electronics. Corresponding researcher Takao Someya, a scientist at the University of Tokyo, told PhysOrg.com, “Our power-transmission sheet addresses two of the issues facing the electronics field: creating ecologically friendly power systems and developing power-transmission technologies that further the imminent trend of 'ambient electronics' – electronic networks, such as sensors, built into our homes and offices to increase our day-to-day security and convenience.”
The sheet is an example of “organic electronics,” a fast-growing field in which circuits are based on conducting plastics rather than conventional silicon. Organic electronics have several advantages, including being cheaper to manufacture, more environmentally safe to produce, physically light, and, as in this case, are often thin and bendable.

An LED in water, lit by power from the power sheet, poses no danger to a goldfish. However, many organic electronic devices can only be integrated into low-power applications because organic transistors have high electrical resistances and cannot handle large amounts of electricity. By combining organic transistors with a technology traditionally used to fabricate silicon circuits, Someya and his colleagues have boosted the amount of power their organic power-transmission sheet can handle.
The finished product consists of several layers. These include a layer printed with an array of thin, flat copper coils, which sense the position of nearby electronic devices, and a layer of sender coils that deliver the wireless power. This process occurs via electromagnetic induction, a physics phenomenon in which a magnetic field can induce a current in a nearby conductor. Here, a voltage applied across the sender coils produces a magnetic field, which induces current flow in nearby devices that need power, as long as those devices are equipped with receiver coils.
Someya and his colleagues say that any potential safety concerns regarding wireless power, such as electric shock and leakages, have been addressed by coating the power sheet's sender coils and other electrical components with an insulating material. They demonstrated the system's safety by using the sheet to power a light bulb submerged in water.
“This could lead to a whole new class of water-safe electronics,” said Someya.

Airnergy Charger extracts electricity from WiFi signals

I love this idea! Imagine there are lots of WiFi signals in the city you live and they carry some energy that will eventually “evaporate” in the air. The Airnergy Charger is a green charger that is able to convert the energy in WiFi signals into electricity which can then be used to power up your gadgets.

The idea of harvesting electricity from WiFi signals is not new. But Airnergy is able to harvest it with high enough efficiency, allows the extracted electricity for practical use. The Airnergy Charger was shown at CES floor, where a BlackBerry was charged from 30% to full in about 90 minutes, using only the ambient WiFi signals as the power source.

The Airnergy Charger has an internal battery, which can store the electricity extracted from WiFi signals of nearby WiFi sources, while you’re carrying it around. The Airnergy Charger is more convenient than using a solar charger as you can juice it up as long as you’re near a WiFi source. You can just leave it near your WiFi router at night so it’ll start collecting juice to store in its internal battery.
The company, RCA, says the USB Airnergy charger will be available this summer for $40 and a battery with WiFi harvesting technology will be available soon after. Watch the clip below for more info.

Wireless Electricity Transfer Technology – The best of the rest Future technology



You may be using many devices or gadgets , working due to presence of electricity, you just provide it electricity with the help of wires. So in today’s world we can find wires every where.
